It's an enjoyable enough blockbuster film but it's only a few hours later and I've mostly forgotten about it. 3D is nice but still doesn't seem to add anything to the film (and is it compulsory for somebody to get a pole stuck in their chest in every 3D film?) . The technology used to create the Na'vi is pretty phenomenal and it is that rather than the 3D or CGI environment and creatures that has the biggest potential to change cinema.

Firstly if you're planning on watching this then don't watch the trailer or read any reviews, the less you know the more you'll get out of the film.

This could have been so much better with just a few minor changes. Surprisingly, for a film like this, the time part of the film makes sense but it's let down by the story.

I couldn't even bring myself to finish watching this. I knew it was bad but I didn't think it would be that bad. Nothing in what I saw even came close to being slightly amusing. It's almost as if somebody randomly cut together bits of lots of trailers and then got less talented people to recreate that mash up.

This is probably a much better film than I thought (BFI's 4th best film 2008) but my pre-occupied mind just couldn't get hooked and as a result I didn't have any idea what was going on or who anybody was.

Also the trailer gives away far too much.
