This is the perfect definition of a "festival film": it looks great, appears to have an important message, will pick up lots of awards at festivals and be praised by critics but to most people will be incredibly dull. After failing to engage me in any meaningful way at the start I struggled to follow what was going on. It often seemed like we were jumping between several different films. By the time the powerful ending arrived I'd lost all interest in trying to understand what was going on.
